Tom has been a CrossFit athlete for 10 years and a CrossFit coach for 5 years. He has been a nutrition coach for 3 years. As one of our head coaches, Tom is one of the coaches who will complete the introductory classes with you upon signing up.
Tom found CrossFit in 2014 and he fell in love with the methodology. The scientific approach of defining fitness in observable, measurable, and repeatable terms. Functional Training makes you better at things you already do! It just made sense. His excitement for the sport and community has turned into a lifestyle. He has a passion for using CrossFit and Nutrition as a combined tool to help people reach their full potential.
His advice for a new CrossFitter is that… “Meeting the stimulus is more important than going RX. I wish I had known that years ago and focused on how to scale up or down to meet the targeted goal for the WOD.” He also adds that… “Nutrition, recovery, and how you treat your body outside of the gym is just as, if not more, important than the work you are doing in the gym.”
